I'm gonna do what you guys told me...Exhaust

Well i was deadset on a full slp exhaust untill i went to mustang exhaust and listened to one revving and man it sounded like a ton of loose parts inside the exhaust, no quality....driving they sound pretty good (heard some chick in town with some on here stang...recognized the tips, and it sounded pretty good but sometimes it sounds almost monotone.....magnaflow SS are unbeatable in sound IMO, my pop was surprised after i did my run at fun ford, he met me in the pits and was like DANG your car sounds good! You have the best sounding mustang up here. So yea, my vote is for the packs if you want crazy loud...mine get crazy loud to at and above around 4K, but they still have an awsome tone and alot of character (sp?).

there is a vid in the 05 forum about 3 pages in packs vs loudmouth. it is with cats and I have to say I like the loudmouth better than the packs. talk a listen.

if you ever want to remove you cats the sound would be too loud for my taste. I can't stand the loudmouth with no cats and the magnapacks are still a bit over the top. magnapacks and high flow cats sound good.

I think the borla stingers sound better than any of these though. Borla and bassani are my favoites but they are also $$$$$$

The magnaflow is a good choice if you ever change you midpipe but it is way to quite with factory cats IMO.

well actually the SLP's are about $359 while the Magnapacks are around $ 459
so the SLP loudmouth's are cheaper by $100. so i dont know what to do now  I like the SLP , i think they sound nice. its just that the pipes arent in ONE piece Right? i mean they have like some kind of connections and stuff!!!? are they easy to instal ?
SLP is very easy to install. The system comes in pieces as shown..

You can put it on with jackstands in your garage, everything fir perfectly the first time for me and I had no leaks:nice:
EDIT: the pipes are held together with torca clamps- it's like a band that has a fastener, you tighten the fastener and the clamp tightens around the pipe.

I agree with hognutz. When I got my 'Packs, the sound was good, but not REAL loud. It was after I got my Bassani mid-pipe that the exhaust really opened up and you could definitely hear the 'Packs from 3 blocks away. And that aint even at WOT. Some jag-off the other day walked by my Mach and said "Nice car, too bad it's a Ford". He was about 75 yards away talking to I guess one of his jerk-off friends. I got in my Mach to run an errand, and put petal to metal and revved my engine. Him and his jerk-off friend almost snapped their necks off turning around to find out what the hell car just scared the shiite out of them. :owned:

My vote goes for SLP. As for sound, especially with the stock midpipe, I think the SLP takes the win on that one. I have heard both too.

For some reason I have heard like two popular sound clips of SLP exhaust that makes them sound like, literally someone threw a bunch of bolts down the pipe. I don't know wtf they did but I can guarantee you it doesn't sound like that.

As for quality, they are equal. Both very high quality stainless steel.

HP gains with SLP + midpipe are generally greater than Magnapacks, but negligible.

Never put a off road xpipe on an SLP catback. It sounds like ass. If you plan on that, packs all the way (although that probably sounds like ass too). It all comes down to sound really. I love the double walled tips too. I'd reccomend the SLPs, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I say you go with the packs. The Magnapacks sound alot more refined than any catback out there if you ask me. The sound is very crisp. Mellow at idle, but once you get on that thing, it sounds like a bat coming out of hell. Definitely a lot louder than stock, and people will hear you coming a few blocks down.

But like most others said, get a midpipe if you really want to open her up. :nice:

Give ******************** a call, and they WILL sell you the MAGNAPACK catback for around $330. But, the Magnapack tips are poo.

If you want something toned down a little get the magnapacks. If you want small children to burst into tears as you drive by get the slp. I have never heard a meaner exhaust on a mustang. A guy with magnapacks actually stopped me the other day and asked what exhaust i was running. The packs do sound good in my opinion but the slp is animal.
