In your sister. If none, your mom
We finally got the computer fixed. And I said that I would post my slips once it was fixed so here are my 2 best ones(side by side).

One question...How the hell did I pull a 1.79 60" with a bad limited slip ?

I'll take a pic of each of my rear tires today and you'll see the problem.

And I didnt get any pics of me in the "air" while launching. That "retarding" mechanism in the digicam is what screwed everything up. My friend might have it though on his non-digicam..

Funny thing is, I still have my battery right there in its original spot under the hood. I think I would lift higher if I'd put it in the trunk :nice: I've heard that it's bad for performance to make the car lift off the ground (uses to much power..) but it sure makes nice pics ! :D I feel like doing it..

Dang...you went 108.2mph with only trapping 83.8 in the 1/8th? That's picking up almost 24 1/2 mph in the last 1/8th mile...pretty moving on the big end.

I've trapped 108.8 and 108.9 numerous times, but 1/8th mile was always around 86mph.

Does anyone know what all that means?

Thats what worries me too. I should be higher in the mph in the 1/8th. Next time, I'll have to start playing more with the shiftpoints. Right now, I was shifting about 6000-6100 for the 1st-2nd gear and about 5700 for the 3rd to 4th.

Nope...not me when I'm cutting 1.8 60's. And not him for sure if he's cutting 1.79 60's.

Stangfreak: How much intial timing are you running? I have mine at about 18* with stock EEC.

I was spinning shortly. But remember, all the work was done with pretty much the passenger tire. That one was grabbing allowing the other one to just "go" with out the spin, even though it was COLD(driver not spinning in the burnout). I wasnt able to launch at more than 3000rpm or so.

I only cut one 1.79, all the rest were all 1.82-84's.

As for timing goes, its all beeing done by me, not knowing what I'm doing. Seems to work ok though..I have initial at 10* and have that custom timing table in the tuner. I didnt touch at all the fuel tables.

Actually...I see something in that timeslip that is even more confusing. Here is a comparison between a run where I went 12.86 @ 108.49 and Stangfreak's 12.82 @ 108.2:

..........Me...Stangfreak
60'.......1.86.....1.79
330'......5.407.....5.584
1/8ET....8.32.......8.24
1/8mph....85.34....83.89
1000'.....10.807....-----
1/4ET.....12.86.....12.82
1/4mph....108.49....108.25

As you can clearly see....HE got a better jump on the 60', but I was quicker to the 330' mark. That alone doesn't make sense, but even stranger is the fact that he then beats me to the 1/8th mile despite having slower 1/8th MPH. That is just messed up.

Only explanation I can think of is shifting is way off, but that would've had a more profound effect. He has 3.90 gears, but I don't think the difference between those and my 3.73's would make a big differnce.

Maybe his timers are off...after all...it does say those runs happened back in 1994 :)

Wow, like 2mph more than me in the 1/8th !
Yeah something is still wrong in the shiftpoints. (not shifting;)) I'd be trapping at like 110mph or so.

I dont think the gears play in this. They're too close.

As for the 94 thing: :rlaugh: I didnt notice before. :D

how ar ethose tires in the rain?

I am trying to decide whether i want to dail hoosier dt slicks bfgs or nittos

Not good. If your looking for a tire that works in the rain then Nitto's are really the only decent choice...or AquaTreads.

ok i will stick with the et drags ;)

Talkin with the girl today I talked myself more into the nittos.

only problem is no one makes drag radials wide enough for me in a 26 inch tire :(

time to fork out the 332 for the skinny nittos
