If you modify your exhaust the sensor lead wires may not be long enough to connect to the 02 sensors, these are extensions to make the wires longer so you can still hook them up.

I heard about this website that you can use to find about things and find information... It is called www.google.com have you heard of it? I heard it works real good. Oh and by the way, this forum has a search feature as well. When you get the urge to make a post do a google and forum search FIRST...

ok im pretty sure that...well that box at the bottom right... are not O2 sensors... they are O2 sensor extenders

the MIL eliminators above it... is what you use to trick the computer into thinking that you are actually using catalytic converters.. therefore no pesky engine warning lights and such pop up...

the O2 sensor extenders simply make it easier for your MIL's to reach with aftermarket pipes

okay man seriously ur starting to piss me off. If you cant answer peoples questions with respect , then DONT answer at all. why bother.keep your stupid comments for your self.
but thx for the rest of you for trying to help :nice:

so i will only have to mess with the MIL when replacing the stock headers right?
so if i only change the stock H pipe i wouldnt have to do anything with the O2 sensors or MIL . is that right?

You should start with a cat back only. If it is not loud enough do an H or X. This will lead to numerous problems with sensors and check engine lights. If you still feel the need to mess with your exhaust then do headers last.

Basically upgrade the exhaust from the back forward. Catback, then midpipe, then headers. That is the Kilgore recommended method.

Just thought I'd add that you won't get much for gains with just the cat back, but you will get better sound. Although some people have run into problems with the mils, you will see much better gains with the X or H pipe, and if you go for headers, get the LT's as the shorty's are only good for a few ponies.

Newbie, you're not gonna make many friends with an attitude like that...
Maybe Kilgore was a bit sarcastic (if you took the time to meet and learn who people are and how they talk/type, you probably wouldn't be getting "pissed off"), but he offered you solid advice. Use it.
Regarding your opening line, "for those who thought i was just messing around last night, well I wasnt." Do you think we give a sh1t? Like, Oh-My-God, Newbie143 was serious...jeez, we better be careful what we say to him or he might start getting pissed off.

I know , when i change my cat back i wont get the CHECK engine light. But when going for the X or H pipe will i get the CHECK engine sign? and if yes, then what do i do NEXT.
P.S. i will not touch my stock headers . only cat back and H pipes.

That's what the MIL eliminators are for...to turn off the CEL when you are running off-road midpipes. Depending on the year of your Stang you can have th computer flashed but the MIL's are alot less expensive than a chip/or flash.

It's not that we don't want people to ASK questions, we just don't NEED your crappy attitude. You're the newbie here - don't come in here telling us how it's gonna be. :nono: You get more flies with honey, better start using some (and stop with the sh1t...although flies do like sh1t too  :rlaugh:  :D :OT: )
