OK, heres the deal. I'm in the process of building a 408W. I have a custom cam, AFR 205 heads w/nitrous porting and a TFS 351 intake. The engine probly won't see over 6000 RPM's, and eventually I plan on running a 150-200 hit of nitrous on this motor as well, but probly not the coming season.
ANYWAY, like I said, I have the TFS 351 intake, but I'm really thinking about switching to the box R upper. I originally bought this intake for just a mild 351, but it's turned in to a monster of a 408 over time
So I'm thinking maybe this upper intake isn't sufficient anymore. The thing I'm mainly concerned about with the switch is the hood clearance. I'm not sure if I can bear the look of a 4" + cowl on my car.
Anyway, do you guys think the performance difference is worth the gaudy looks of a 4" hood? Is my current upper intake gonna run out of steam early in the rpm's?
Thanks in advance for the thoughts and opinions
