IMRC questions

Hey guys I've posted in the 5.0 tech before, haven't posted here in the SVT section but I have a couple questions on cleaning my 96 Cobra IMRC's. I have the intake out and cleaned but I can't seem to get the IMRC's disconnected from the actuator cables. Is there a way to do this so that I don't have to remove the entire actuator and cables? Also, at this point I only have a couple bolt-ons with a basic SCT tune but I'm wondering if it would it be worth it to make the deletes while I have them out or is it going to completely kill my performance on the low end?

The IMRC control is attached to the cables, they do not come off. They detach about a foot off the module. Ive heard you lose low end torque by getting rid of the IMRC plates. I am not sure for sure, but I am sure you would lose that extra kick at 3200...my car is missing that now and it kills me.
