In tank carb fuel pump

Not in tank but Advance Auto stocks a Mr. Gasket 30 gal/hr electric that mounts on the frame that's quiet(er) I have one each on the Comet and the Ranger and unless you listen for it with the engine running, you forget it's there. I've left the Comet one on several times and run the battery down with the engine off. It';s enough to feed a 400+ hp motor with three carbs.

my 84 tbird had the V6, and it used a low pressure in tank pump to feed teh high pressure efi pump. many people bypass the high pressure pump and just use the in tank pump for carb use. you will have to fab a mount on the sending unit.

Don't like it, don't read it:rolleyes: What, we got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? :rlaugh: You're complaining gets old too.:Zip2::nono:
nope right side of the bed, just dont like reading most of your answers thats start off with "on my 331 with 400+hp and 3 carbs i used windex insted of amonia to clean my windows" or "on my 400+ hp 331 six pac i lubed with window tracks with white grease"
:rlaugh:

Yea that's it. The one in my Ranger has been in service for 6 years now. :hail2: It doesn't take mega flow to feed a carb. At 30 gal/hr, you'd have to be getting 2 mpg at 60 mph.;)
Thanks, I found out the local auto store sells it under the Purolator brand as well - it's made by a company called "Facet". I might use it as a prime pump after long-term parking when the bowls are dry. My original plan was to swap my mechanical for the Edelbrock Quiet-flo.

Interestingly, the Facet pump states "Not for high performance" along with a list of other things, like not for marine, aircraft, etc. According to the other forums the pumps are pretty reliable. Someone even said he uses it for his 400 horsepower 331 6-pack!
