Hi guys, I have a 99 Cobra and love it. But, at my place on white lake, I frequently see a guy driving one of the best looking restored mustangs I have ever seen. It is yellow with blacks trips, a fast back, and says "67 superstang" on it.

My question is, it also had cobra emblems on it. Can you guys give me some info as to where I would go about getting a car like this to restore. What is the name of it, I know it is a fast back, and I am thinking it is a GT350 or clone. It doesn't matter to me if it is all original or if numbers match. I just want a car that looks, sounds, and drives as good as this one I see.

Thanks

I hate to promote e bay, but that is one place you could start. With the cobra badging and "superstang" he is bordering on "riceing up" a classic.

info on 67

There is a company down in Texas taking 67 fastbacks and turning them into what they call super snakes, this company is the one that made Eleanor in gone in 60 seconds. I am thinking you saw one they are really expensive I think pushing 100k. You should be able to find them on the web by searching Super snake.

If it's gotta be rice, then it is rice at it's finest.

I am pretty sure the Super Snake is well over 100k. The baseline GT 500E is ~80k

If someone had a shelby or eleanor clone, I should of heard about it if its in Bladen county. The only car that comes close to that is an original boss 302 that a guy has in E-town. Interesting!

This car is not original, or one of those 100k cars, i just love the look, sound, and nostalgia of it. Yea, 68coupe, have you seen the guy with the red restored stang, prob bout a 68 or 69. Its super nice, I think he lives up 41, past white lake.

Ok, so I could just start with a 67 fast back and make it look that nice?

I haven't seen that red one either, I must have gotton out of the loop! There is a guy with a few stangs in harrells that he may part with. They are just sitting there rotting. One of those might be a fastback. To get one really nice find one thats already done, because it takes an tremendous amount of TIME and MONEY if you do it yourself.

why couldn't you? if you have the $$$of corse you can!

if you get a pic of the car, we can help you identify the modifications if any so you could reproduce that perticular effect if you wanted to. i'd be glad to help you out.

Mustang

That is pretty much what it looks like, the hood with the ram air nostrils, the lights in the grille. The exact rear end, on no louver on the window. Thats what made me say it looked like a GT350 or clone.
