Information on Headers????

What's up guys?...

I purchased an 88gt hatch (5spd) from a kid that installed an 84 towncar lincoln engine in it (due to an head on collision).....i took it to my exhaust guy and he says that my headers don't look too healthy, so i'm looking for headers now.....what would you recommend for headers? What brand? where should i get them? and how much are they? I'm looking for something that won't kill my wallet, sounds nice and loud and gives an obvious response....thanks for the information guys.

bbk is good, hooker makes them, Mac makes them there are
lots that are all good.

is it even an "HO" motor? anyways, what 85gt said. bassani also makes really good quality headers

Yea like the others have said...bbk makes great headers for really short money. I love my FMS headers, but they were a little extra cash. yea i was also wondering, that engine must not be a 5.0 HO. I think there were a lot of changes between the towncar/f-150 engine and the mustang engine, in terms of intake mani. cam and exhaust...so just a heads up for future parts references. good luck man

Aye thanks so much for the info man....and everybody i appreciate all your input....this forums the best with wise and intelligent indiviuals that take stangs with the seriousness they deserve....the 84 lincoln towncar engine (supposively) has an "upgraded" HO cam in it as well....not too sure what that means....honestly i think i got shafted acquiring this particular stang....but i'm trying to make the best out of it now.....
