I am planning on putting a paxton novi 1000 with a Anderson powerpipe on my GT, and was looking at a used set of injectors. Would 50# injectors be too much if I plan on using the pulley that comes with the kit? I know most poeple use 42# injectors, but I would rather get these used ones if I could.
thanks

You can tune the car for the 50's. If at some point you decide to go for more, that's one less piece to buy.

you can use 50's, but you'll never use them to their potential with a Novi 1000. 42's are easier to tune from what i've heard.

But they are at a really good price, also matched and flowed.
I won't be the one doing the tuning any ways

A set of 36lb injects would be more than enough for a Novi 1000's flow potential and keep things cleaner/smoother down in the lower RPM and at idle too. Sometimes bigger isn't always better my friend. Let these 50lbers go and mate that Novi up to a properly matched set of injectors.

36's you say?
So would 42's be too big also then?
I'm not planning on going over 400rwhp for quite a while by the way, maybe around 380rwhp.

42's would be fine. I'm right under 380 at the tires now, and the 42's are more than enough.

Would they be too much injector though?

No, 42's are not too much injector, but still overkill for your Novi needs. The rule to follow as far as injectors are concerned is using just enough to keep them within efficient operation range is best. You don’t want to see much more or less than 80% duty cycle which is what you’ll achieve at 330-380hp with 36lb/hr injectors (about where the Novi would put you with a few minor bolt ons). Any smaller injector may overwork the injector and with much more that that small things like emissions, idle quality and low end response suffer. 36's would work best, but 42's aren't that tremendous by comparison and will prove nearly as good in all but the most severe conditions (like high temp/humidity and elevation levels).
