Input please!!!! Procharger

I polished my procharger, and while doing so, I noticed this pinhole in the casting. It's really small, will this present a major problem??

My buddy suggests we just romove the compressor housing and tap it out an install a small screw to seal it.

It's actually leaking, like you can feel it? If so, then drilling and tapping might work, but what if the casting is thin in that area? it could make the problem worse. You might take it apart and have it welded, but that could warp the housing. The ultimate fix would be to replace the housing but thats $$$$.

If you score the metal around it well enough then JB weld would work. I have used it on alot of things you wouldnt think would work, but they all did.

If you score the metal around it well enough then JB weld would work. I have used it on alot of things you wouldnt think would work, but they all did.

If it is actually a leak use some JB weld and let it sit for a while.
Buying a new Procharger headunit is quite costly.

Seriously. Or, a lil spot of tig will fix it. Fix it with metal, not JB weld - JB might hold but won't be a perminant fix.

That pin hole is in the part of the blower where the air goes out. If the hole was in the part where the gears are....THAT would be very, very bad. Where it is, at worst, it's just not going to hold boost (but should make a wicked cool whistle lol); but, if it were in the oiled side it would leak and pretty quickly kill the blower by starving it of oil.

You might want to call procharger because it looks like it may be a defective casting maybe they would work with you. then again they could say it was due to the polishing

JB weld makes some stuff that's for metal ... I used it on my Dad's muffler when it got a small leak and it fixed it with no issues ....

I'd say tig weld it, unless it's still under warranty. Call Procharger and see what they say...

That stuff actually works quite well. Much better and less porus than typical braze filler.

+1 jb weld is good ****, my uncle fixed the cracked engine block on his boat with jb weld 6 years ago and its still holding to this day

Ok you already fixed it. But excatly where was it?
Were there any problems with it on the car before polishing? ie did it have the leak before?
Looked like a normal inculsion to me but whatdya I know... Only ran a foundry for 5 years.
