instal auto meter gauge

I have a stock intake and I am installuing a water temp gauge (mech) and i was woundering if any one could tell me where the temp probe goes (yeah I know i'm opening my self up for all the jokes) into thanks .

I put my electrical sensor into the front, driver's side of the lower intake. This is where the factory water temp sending unit is.

I have the mechanical gauge

It makes no difference, the electrical sensor or the mechanical probe end will both go in the same location.
