Install time on UPR O/R X

If your doing it on jackstands in your driveway like I did, and its your first time... plan on a few hours. Its not hard, just annoying and difficult working under a car thats not too high off the ground.

If you access to a lift and all the tools, an hour, maybe.

Thats if everything isnt rusted on of course, like svttech mentioned.

And for the UPR (not sure about others) you put it together in two peices. The drivers side tubing that mates up with the manifold is seperate from the rest of the pipe. You wont get it up in one peice, unless your magic or something.

Also, my manifold flange gasket blew, so when I started it back up it sounded like ass and had a huge leak... so if you have a chance grab a flange gasket just in case, they are 5 bucks or so.

Rust sucks... Your from the south right? I bet yours was not too bad. Mine was a Ohio car that was driven in Ohio and then Massachusetts winters. A while back I worked on a 92 GT from South carolina that thing had less rust under it than most 02's up here...

Yup, South Carolina. Im not sure where the car was from origionally, but there is zero rust on it. 3 of the 4 manifold bolts came off nearly effortlessly, only one required a little "help" from a very small breaker bar, but it wasnt a problem at all. The bolts holding the catback on came off without a flinch aswell.

Were pretty lucky with the cars down here. There are plenty of dealers selling local owned Mustangs all the way back to the old Fox's that are spotless.

HMMMM. Maybe thats what I did. It feels like I have it on tight but I can hear the leak and I can move the gasket around a little bit. Ill look at it again when I get a chance.
