I just bought a billet flywheel from Mustang Warehouse's ebay store, installed it along with a spec stage I clutch and now my clutch cable is waaay too short. I pryed the clutch fork back, got the cable in, went inside and released the adjuster and the cable still wont release all the way. The pedal is hard as a rock, no slack in the cable at all. I put it in gear and it just slips, clutch wont engage. If I take the cable off its fine, the thing just isnt long enough for some reason. Anyone else have this issure with billet flywheels? I dont know if I should make a piece to extend the cable to make it reach the fork? Will an aftermarket adjustable setup get me that extra length? Any ideas on what I should try? Thanks

do you have the stock quadrant and cable....if so keep the cable and get an aftermarket quadrant and firewall adjuster. i got the upr triple hook quadrant and had to use the second hook for my clutch cable to reach. no big deal after that

i would go with an aftermarket quadrant and FWA of your choice (as ECU said).

the stock cable should work fine.

good luck.

Wiat something is wrong here. If all you changed was the flywheel and clutch then your Cable should go right back on. your doing something wrong. Did you take the cable itself out of the car. if so did you put it back the same way. check everything again.

JK, my take on it was that his stock quadrant and pawl are not releasing all the way, hence why the cable is too tight.
VG, are we missing something?
