installed head unit, now no bass

I installed a alpine head unit into my car, now i barely have any bass comming out of the speakers in the door... any idea?

If you have a Mach system and bypassed the amps, you likely only have sound coming out of the upper speakers now. The Mach equipped cars typically need a rewire of the entire system after an upgrade where the amps are bypassed. You can use something like this amp adapter to continue using the factory amps, which should restore the previous sound quality, otherwise.

Make sure the crossovers are off on your Alpine. (If equipped.)
