Got the kit from MM.com with the firewall adjuster and quadrant and ford cable etc... Anyway followed the instructions got it all in, car shifts fine and works great. :nice: However now when i'm normally taking off from a stop sign or light the car shakes like crazy as if i have a all out 6 puck racing clutch, it never did that before with the old cable the engagment was smooth. I cant adjust the cable out anymore either, and if i turn the adjuster in the tranny wont shift. I'm also wondering how the cable is routed as like from the firewall and where it goes through the k member, my cable right now it in front of the Oil filter going next to the oil pan to my Tremec3550 how is your guys cable routed? I'm running out of ideas.

i ahve mine routed the same way you do. Mine works fine but I hear that the hot tip is to run it through the motor mount bracket on the left side of the motor. I dunno if that will make any difference or not. Your description of how your clutch feels sounds to me like maybe your clutch is fully engaging now where before it might not have been. Do you think that could be the case?

Its grabs pretty close off the floor but the car shifts fine and smooth but I cant adjust the cable anymore it just wont let me, I can only go back in now not out. Its just really weird because the car shakes like mad but drives fine. When you down shift you can feel it shutter just a tab when the clutch disengages. So I dunno what the deal is.

There's something wrong if you've got that FW adjuster ALL the way out. Whe I installed mine it was with my old centerforce clutch... the FW adjuster was screwed almost all the way in towards the wall.... After breaking in the cable for a week or so I swaped in my new clutch... the FW adjuster even with teh brand new clutch is screwed a little more than half.... that's with a brand new clutch and flywheel. If yours is screwed out (towards the front of the car) more than that, then I tend to think that something else is amiss. I wonder if your bellhousing and clutch fork for the 3550 might have a different throw or something. When you first put that 3550 in, did you have to install an adjustable cable?

When the tranny went in the shop installed a Aftermarket cable and firewall adjust, And I have no clue what bran it is, I just know it was crap. On the firewall adjust there's about a 1/2" gap so it's not turned all the way out, I just cant turn it out anymore because its right up against the adjust black piece/housing on the cable it self.
