That's a 94/95 cobra mines the exact same svo intake. As for the egr you can either get a chip that has removed the egr function and you can dispose of all the sensors and what not or read how rio5.0 deleted his http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=491616&highlight=egr+tube

What the hell is that red thing between the throttle body and the manifold? Looks like an EGR plate off a Fox car....?

yea. a stupid throttle body spacer. not like it actually does anything, but it sounds cool, and i've scared off some rice and some other mustangs with it. it sounds like a really stinkin loud blower. lol i'm gonna take it off eventually though.

one reason why your front bolt may not go in is b/c gasket could be broken....also how did you torque the bolts down? one at a time or each one a little at a time? you may also want to take one of the other bolts and try switching them around.

The gasket should be fine, but we're gonna pull the upper intake off maybe this weekend to check. I torqued all the bolts evenly, and even took them off and switched them around twice, no better either time. We think maybe the threads are dirty or clogged with something. We're gonna check that too.

Easy way to check, if you haven't already thought of it. Thread the bolts into the bottom manifold with the top off. They all should thread in just fine. Also, when you have the plenum off: put the bolts in the holes, and then look at the bottom of the plenum. You should see the bolts all sticking out underneath the plenum, so you'll know how much usable thread you have on each bolt. Worst-case scenario, start the thread on the "bad" bolt hole, and see if you can thread the others.
