See this is why we need to figure out how to make a "for sale" section that works. The problem with these forums and their separate sections is NO ONE ever bothers to look in those places unless they are selling something.

Some one could post "WTB: whatever" and someone might have the part but they never go in there.

There has got to be a better way.

Yes, I would have loved to have bought your 140 for $70, but I just paid $189 for a 130 last week! :\

Some peeps just put WTB and short lists of stuff for sale in their sigs. I usually pay attention to that stuff.

But I know what you mean. It can be exhausting to try and find stuff for sale on these forums.

PA Performance has a complete wire kit for their alternators. $45 (I ordered it). Everything predone for the lazy man. Now only if they made modified brackets for those of us without a dremel!

good deal.........one thing to remeber though.....
it was mentioned earlier DO NOT RE ATTATCH THE BLACK AND ORANGE WIRES to the rear lug where the new power wire goes to the 3g alt..
i say this again because....in the instructions i got with my pa performance wire it said to do this.......why they are still printing that in their instructions i have no clue.....that was the old way of doing it before people discovered the high amps of the new alt could cause a fire if those wires were re attatched. but don't do it....just to let you know in case your instructions with the power wire tell you to do so.....

there's different places that make high amp alternators.......3g really means 3rd generation.....meaning all the 94 up ( to what year im not sure) came with the 130 amp heavier alt...so they are refered to as a 3g....
you can buy one used or at a junk yard or go buy one at the auto parts store for a 94 or 95 mustang....i bought mine for a 94 mustang.....i did re clock the alternator housing so the wires didn't have to stretch so far...on the new 3g
as for the one above that person is selling i'm not sure what brand or type alt that is....

From what I can tell they have you splice some of the existing wires in to that new secondary "little" plug is all. They do mention you MUST run a new fused power wire to the main connection. Considering the "little" plug's own wire is tiny too, it should be safe.

I am not sure if it is included, but you would need a stator wire extension/connector. This is the ONLY wire you have to splice into, as I recall. You can normally get a new stator plug from LRS, but they might be backordered. You can use a junkyard connector or get creative (you want the connector to be shrouded since it goes into a small channel - you dont want it to touch metal). Simply using an insulated spade connector has worked for peeps.

It is a very simple install - go for it.

Oh yeah, Kevin and I have been going back and forth in PM's with alternator wiring stuff (I am replacing some on my 94) and he endorses the nice lookin plugs that FFI sells. I almost bought one to replace my charred wiring but got antsy before hearing back from Kevin (I had already ordered from LRS). They have a lot of wiring and ancillary stuff, as well as a how-to article with some nice lookin pics.

The PA alt includes the new plug/wire. The "little one" that splices into the stator bundle I believe. It's the only wire/plug they include with the alt. The rest you have to buy in their kit.
