Well I pulled the upper manifold last night, retorqued the lower, replace my pcv valve and screen and also replaced a piece of vacuum line that was decaying. Then I installed my Kirban AFPR and set it at 43 lbs vacuum off. Goes down to 38 lbs when I plug the vacuum back in. Set the timing at 14* and took it for a spin. Slammed it through first and second with no pinging. But the car wasnt fully warmed up yet and today on my way to work it started to ping just a little. So I was planing on either lowering the timing a bit or bumping the fp up to maybe 45. Is that too high? What do guys think?

Thanks

i have a kerbin but it sounds like you dont have enough vaccume.

mine is set at 42 (checked thismorning) with vaccum it drops to 32-34.

my timing is unknown at the moment but somewhere between 12-14*

Put it at 38-42 with the vac line off. It will go up under acceleration. I would come back down off your timing to 10* but raising the FP won't hurt cha except in the wallet.

Not to rob the thread, but i have a similar question myself. with the mods i have what should my fuel pressure be set at with the vacuum line off? I had it so when the vac line was on it was at about 39 lbs... that sound ok???

thanks

Nick

Yep sounds fine. My max was 60psi with 42's and a S-Trim until I got an O4 PMS and now I'm back down the 38 with the line off.
