Love it. Maybe it is just me but looking at the photos on the UPR site and the ones you have, they look to be different. The UPR page lookes like there is a slot on the top plate for where the pin goes completely through and yours look like they sit completely on top of the top cover.

FYI, your intake paint looks phenominal.

holy sheeot!!! your right the hoodpins i got from UPR have a channel where my pin sits but its not an open slot like the one in pic........my best guess is they went away from that style i like the ones they sent me better i really would only want the center hole open where the post goes thru open. Thanks about the intake comment i was happy as hell when i picked up intake and valvecovers from powdercoater!!

No the car never made it to Rick's. It could still go, but I'm in a huge transitionary period: now location (grafenwoehr, Germany), new job in the army, applying for college, applying for a different career field within the army. I want more stability than I've had for the last 6 years. So, I'm leaving the infantry. That means if I can't get into a career field I want, I'm getting out of the army in a year. I should hear the results of the board I applied to any day now. I'll have a house to live in within the next month. When things settle down again, I'll probably give Rick a call to get this stuff done.

The correct phrasing would have been, "Yes, Mr. Wayne, it does come in black."

Man, that is a GREAT looking Fox!!!

For those who asked, here are all of the hood pin kits we carry:

http://search.uprproducts.com/?vwcatalog=yhst-37354654005614&keywords=hood+pins&x=0&y=0

I believe they do all have the grooves in them now, as someone mentioned.

It's cars like yours that guarantee that I wont be the one winning any show trophy that day. Really nice looking engine compartment, w/ a great eye for detail,......it's,....it's......resplendant.

PS, how much does it cost for those "real" hood pins? I'm over the cheap assed wannabe's that I'm using.

I also feel it incumbent upon me to point out that his engine compartment is NOT painted body color.

I noticed the engine compartment was not painted the body color also......and I think it looks phenomenal.
