I just got my prochamber in the mail and I was wondering if I need to use that flared peice of metal that goes into the driverside header? Also will I have to use it if I get the manifold stud kit from Napa?

Thanks.

Did you use the stud kit from Napa too?

yes...you need the stud kit from napa...I had a prochamber on my car and had a nice leak on the driver side....I didn't feel like messing with it so I put the stock h-pipe back on...I am seriously thinking about putting the prochamber back on with the stud kit.

That sleave on the left side is there so you don't have to use the stud kit. Mac added that after the complaints with older Prochambers. I didn't use the stud kit and have no leaks. I did replace the passenger side gasket just in case though. It couldn't hurt to use the stud kit anyway to be safe.

My install:
No stud kit. Used the MAC sleeve. Used the newer MAC gasket, too. 75 days+ and no leaks whatsoever.

Go to your ford dealer and get an OEM gasket. Don't use the Mac gasket if you have it.

I just finished the installion today. I replaced the manifold studs and replaced the passenger gasket. No leaks yet.

I did run into a little problem with the driver side front o2 sensor because the wire was not lond enough. I just uncliped the harness from the plate that it was attached to and it gave me enough room for it to fit.

The thing sounds so bad ass, I don't know why I waited so long to get it I wish I would have gotten it sooner.

Same here I just did what TorchRed04GT did and unclipped the harness and it was just enough to reach and have a tad of slack.
