Hey Guys, I'm installing some Infinity Kappa's in the doors and deck lid. Looking for some ideas on how to mount the little crossovers inside the doors. What have you all done? Any pics?
I prefer an external mount. Under the seat is a viable option, or closest to the amp. Makes for a little hassle running more speaker wire, but I've never been a fan of mounting crossovers in the doors due to vibration and moisture.
I always wrap mine in plastic,closed off with duct tape and secured using 2 sided tape to the outer skin of the door,down low. It's looks crappy but it works to protect it from moisture and keeps it from vibrating.
If you're not dead set on installing them in the doors, I removed the stock amp behind the head unit, and just mounted them on a plate that mounts where the amp was. I don't think I have a picture, but it's a pretty easy install.
