Im going to increase my fuel pressure because it pings.I did everything else, but I think its leaning out.My mods are cai,75mm maf,65mm TB, screamin demon ign.,and headers. How many psi's or lbs.'s should I increase it? 3-4?

A pound or two at a time.
What fuel pump do you have? The stock injectors will flow more fuel than the fuel pump.
Where is your timing set? try backing off a few degrees and see if that helps. You could have a mismarked balancer, so don't take the marks for being 100% right.
What fuel are you running? Put in some 93 octane and see if that helps.

I always go with a basic tune and work myself up till it starts to ping and back off s smidge for hot summers! If it pings with the basic tune you got other problems! Oh yes, I do this with premium 91 octane fuel! One more thing, at about 14 degrees BTDC my stang comes alive!!

Pinging is caused by a number of things:
1.) Hot spots in the combustion chamber such as carbon deposits from high mileage or excessive oil consumption.
2.) Wrong heat range on the plugs.
3.) Too much initial spark advance.
4.) Lean fuel mixture.
Lean fuel mixture breaks out into several sub categories:
A. Vacuum leaks
B. Air entering the intake without passing through the MAF
C. Failure of the MAF, BAP/MAP (Baro or Manifold Air Pressure, same sensor, different name), ACT (air charge temp), or ECT (engine coolant temp). These should set a code in the computer.
D. Leaking exhaust gases from EGR valve at WOT.
E. Clogged fuel injectors.
F. Fuel injector wiring problems causing injector not to deliver rated flow.
5.) Computer problems: (computer problems are not common like sensor problems)
A. ROM has bad data in fuel or timing table. This should also set a code in the computer.
B. Failure of one or more of the computer's driver transistors for the fuel injectors. No code set on this one.

Have you dumped out the codes?
Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire and the check engine light. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.

Its the stock fuel pump.and my timing, I put back to 10.And I use 93 octane. It doesnt ping at wot,it pings when Im cruising at 60mph,and I press on the gas "very lightly"!! I just put in new oxygen sensors, but it still does it!! It never did it until I put the timing to 16 degrees, then down to 14,,then I ran it at 12 for a while,,and I put it back to 10!!! But It still pings at high speeds??

You shouldnt have to run 93 octane with stock timming. I run 12* on 87 octane, and Im going to see if I can getaway with 14* tommorow. I dont think a fuel press regulator will fix your problem, it might patch the problem if your lucky.

Go through Jrich's post and check any of those problems, vacums leaks etc.

It only has 34,000 original miles. I guess an injector can be clogged.Do I have to pull every single one out to check???

I had a pinging problem....

It was finally the spark plugs. I put the original ford spark plugs (talking with a stock engine)

It never ping again after. You should start by small things, before going deeper. :nice:
