Alright guys, finally got my PI Intake for a bargain price(90 bucks with gaskets) Anywho I really dont want to pay someone 20 bucks to tap it for the sensor. I keep reading about pluging the sensor in around the head somewhere? Where and how do I do that. Pictures would be best! Thanks Oh yeah about how much gasket sealer should I use? Do I put it on the head or the intake gasket? or just install the gasket then smother the hole with the stuff. Thanks

Just drill and tapp the whole yourself. The alum. is really soft and the drill will go right through it. Just get the correct tapp and drill bit it calls for and you'll be fine. I got mine from NAPA. But I think the Tapp was around 20-30 dollars. So you might be better off letting someone else do it for you if they are going to do it for 20 bucks.

If you can borrow a tap from someone its easy to do yourself but not worth buying in my opinion..... i dont remember size off hand but make sure its pipe thread.... use the search or theres plenty of stickys and write ups about it....... and where to silicone depends on if you have the PI or NPI gaskets??..... (Also in the write-ups!!)

There is a freeze plug on the bottom side of the block but on your car it is blocked by the k-member. Just borrow a tap and do ti yourself if you have a drill motor and bits.

Correct...and stress NPT...not all thread taps are the same.

When are you attempting the install? Shouldn't take you a long time to get it done just take your time and make sure the silicone is applied in the correct place.
