Instrument Cluster Light Bulbs

Sooo, not a new member...just haven't logged on in about 10 years...lol

ANYWAY: since I had to change the busted worm gear for my odometer, I figured I'd change out the back lights to some neat bright LEDs, right. I bought some sylvania 194b (b for blue cuz I liked the YouTube videos look ) plug it all back in and!....nothing....directions say to rotate bulbs, nothing. Put the old incandescent back in (which are number 194) and they work fine... I HIGHLY doubt I received 5 bad led bulbs. Am I missing something?

Welp...I'm an idiot. They tend not to work too well when the dimmer is most of the way down.
