ok the instrument cluster in my 87 is in sad shape. Looks like it sat in the sun for years. The numbers are faded and cracked and just look bad. I found an 89 (85mph speedo) 4cyl at the junkyard with a perfect cluster. Can I simply swap them out? Plug and play?? Thanks!!
Yeah, you'll be fine. I just changed mine today actually (from the 85 MPH to the 140 MPH). Pretty simple, get to the cluster, take it out, and there will be 3 things to unplug. Two wire clusters, one on each side, and the speedo connector. Then just switch it out and put everything back together.
