So i got my next insurance statemant from AAA yesterday and im about to write the check out like i normallly do for about 3 hundred something and i look at the payment for next month and its $877 :notnice: i was like WTF is going on here. **** 877 is more than my stated income. I know i had 2 accidents last year but how in the hell could the payment go up 500 buck a year after both accidents happened? Sorry for the rant.

Mine is $850 a year in my parents name. Isnt there something like that you could do. I had a reckless driving ticket reduced to a 2 point incorrect lane change and it didnt make my insurance go up.

im guessing you dont have full coverage because there is no way full coverage is that low,if it is than you are lucky. i was on my parents insurance and was paying 160 bucks a month with full coverage, with no accidents or tickets and i was 18.

So you had two accidents. Were they your fault? How much was the repair bill each time? (for both cars)

$877 +deductable is cheap for a month of full size bumper cars.

Some one has to pay the bill and AAA will do their best to make sure it's you. There is no free ride, just learn to drive safely and wait untill you are 25 with a clean record, then your bill will fall to about $500/year for liability.

If you're in school like I am it may be easier. I pay about 160 a month. It's under my moms name. She is the primary driver and I am the 'occasional' driver. I also have a 3.0 in school so I fax my insurance that and it takes off money. I also took a 6 hour driving course. 3 sessions of 2 hours each. That and my 3.0 lowered my insurance about $1400. I pay about $1900 a year.

No offense but if you had 2 accidents in one year you're lucky they didn't drop you. Assuming they were charged against you of course. Insurance stinks any way you look at it. I'm married and over 30 and I still pay high premiums. That's the main reason for me not getting a newer Stang.

If we want to play, we gotta pay! :spot: :spot:

Jeez, you guys don't pay squat!!! I pay 196 a month for a 500/100 deductable and that's on my parents insurance, with good student discount, and one ticket a few years back. I'm almost 21 though, so maybe I'll get it to go lower too. Hopefully moving out and getting married in the next 2, so it should get down even lower then, who knows, maybe I'll finally be down to your 800 some a year someday.

I just saved some money on my car insurance by switching to Gieco!

Geico and Progressive both quoted me over $7,000 a year with a clean driving record and student grades discount!

I pay liability only right now and it runs me $100/mo. My full coverage was costing me about $280/mo, so that definitely had to go. . .

I wish my parents would have let me go under their policy. . .I would be paying like $90/mo full coverage.

I think those companies are for old people with slow cars.

That was just for the Mustang. Progressive's quotes was over $8,000/yr. It was their way of telling me they didn't want to insure me since I wasn't 40 and driving a minvan.

I'm kidding, that's just the Gieco commercial line. I pay $500 a year for my car insurance. Actually I pay $1400 a year for both cars (2003 Altima and 94 Mustang).
