i just got done switching my intake and i have a massive vacuum leak and cant find where it is coming from exactly.it is whistling pretty loud but i cant pinpoint it.it seems to be coming from close to the TB or egr spacer but i can feel and leak when i feel around them.what are the more common places that it could be leaking from?

Brake clean is also a good way to pinpoint vacuum leaks. Spray it all over the place and when you hear the engine surge you've found your leak. The brake clean is flammable so when it gets sucked in the leak the engine has an added combustible source, hence the surge. Sometimes the surge isn't such a surge so a pal watching your Tach might be helpful to figure out when it's actually "surging."

pcv will pop out sometimes on new intake installs when you use the old pcv setup. Check there and if it is popping out go to Ford and get a whole new pcv kit, (screen, grommet, valve)

large intake leaks that i have encountered were: gasket between upper and lower intake cocked to the side causing whistling it was crazy loud, vacuum tee on drivers side firewall, fuel press regulator vacuum hose. if you spray brake parts cleaner on suspected area and the engine bogs or dies you found your leak, and that goes for any vacuum leak cause brake parts cleaner acts like more fuel entering the engine.
