hey all,
today just out of random motivation i though i could pull my top end apart again to retrq my lower manifold, pull off my valve covers to strip them of there chipping paint job,and replace a whining and leaking ps pump....... got top intake of in 15mins
(after my rookie arse took one of the coolant hoses that goes to the tb off while the car coolant was pressurized and hot, so i have a burnt hand now!)
i then spent a 1.5-2hour on replacing the ps pump. i removed the radiator do this, and went faily smoothly but i want some tips on how to get the air out this thing and or recommendations on fluid, i was told to use synthetic atf fluid(same thing) but i just want something that is affordable and good...the car had the original ps pump on it and it worked fine but it was just leaking and whining too much to my liking..
also this is my concern. my coolant which is not old is appearing burnt orange with mild green(lol i know poor description but you get the point).....i use prestone or w/e which is bright green. and cannot see the coolant looking this bad after barely any usage.....what cold be the culprit...
