Intake manifold install, How hard?

Well since it looks like im gonna be putting a new intake manifold on since mine finally bit the bullet

Id like to know how difficult it is to do this yourself. I refuse to pay ford 1k to do it and i consider myself a decent mechanic and would like to do it myself. Ive replaced intake gaskets on my old 5.0 so i know its a fair job, but seeing as how these modulars are a little more complicated does anyone know how big the job is to do on these cars?

Are there any writeups on the install?

What is the original sell dat of your car? There is a SEVEN year warranty on the intake manifold.

it is so easy I can do it with my eyes closed.
Just take a good look at the set up.
You will need fuel line disconnect tools and a six pack of beer.
Mostly you will need a 10mm socket.

If you do self install be sure you get your $750 from Ford if you qualify for it...

Its not that hard at all, just take it apart slow so you know how to get it all back together. You will need a good set of metrics (mainly 8-13 mm) and a fuel disconnect tool. It will take you less than 6 hours, even if you are doing it alone, and have to make a beer run.

you should be covered under the recall.

if not several sies have the PI intake for sale CHEAP do not buy it from a dealer.

this reminds me I need to put my new intake on. I already got paid to do the recall (3.0 hours) and the intake is in my back seat.

Just remember if you do it yourself afterwards take it to Ford, show them the aluminum crossover, and collect your $750...
