Intake, Power Pipe, Throttle Body Setup Opinions

Back to the first question, why a power pipe? If you are using a BBK TB, why not their CAI fender kit? Is the power pipe cheaper?

No the power pipe is more expensive ($209 shipped at latemodel) and doesn't include a filter. I smoothed my engine bay and tucked wires so I'd like my MAF to be placed in the fender as well and the BBK cold air intake will not do that. Also if I choose Megasquirt for my tuning I can delete the MAF all together and I don't have to worry about extending those wires to relocate my MAF inside the fender.

Sure it does. You just have to make sure to buy the correct model.

I'd like one continuous pipe that's visible in the engine bay like the power pipe. The one you just showed will have that connection with fittings where the MAF is supposed to be and that won't be a clean look to me.

with the power pipe, which hides the maf in the fender, does that affect the visual part of the smog check (cali)

i like the PP look rather than the CAI in the fender look
