I have a TFS track heat intake. I have had the whistleing noise for the last couple days. At frist i thought it was my IAC but found it wasnt. So I got to messing around with the car running. And when I push down on the middle of the upper intake it muffles the whistleing noise. So I pulled the upper and right in the middle of the intake there is fuel wet spots on the gasket around the middle runner. What could cause this I have the bolts tight.

Put a straight edge on the upper and lower intake peices in a x and + pattern and see if there is light under the edge. May need to have a thousandth or two removed. If you can get a feeler gauge under the edge than I would take it to a machine shop and have it machined.

Im gona try a small amount of RTV around the gasket and see if that helps at all. Any one else had this kind of problem befor. Also When I go to start the engine the starter has a really hard time turning the engine over. I think i have too much timing. Any other ideas?

Personally I would go to a machine shop and have them do it right. What happens when it expands and contracts a few times? Maybe I am just anal but do it right the first time and never have to worry about it again. I know it is a PITA but worth it.

I agree with you im just gona skip the RTV and take it down to the shop i go threw and also where i bought the top end kit from.

Hopefully the shop is close. DO NOT rod it or wind it up. Just drive carefull and it should be ok. I am guessing it is your only car or I would take the intake off first. Anyway it should be fine just be carefull.
Good luck let me know what the outcome is!
