96-mid97 Explorer and it has a 65mm TB that will work after a little mod to the accelerator crank. These intakes have internal EGR (if you need to keep emissions) passages just like the stock intake. You can tell by pulling off the TB and if there is a rectangular hole below the round TB runner, you got the right intake.

nothing wrong with my current intake - except that it is stock.
i dont really have a whole lot of coin left for a new trick flow or something like that, so i wanted to look for an explorer intake, they are the same as the cobra pretty much right? upper nd lower.

as you can probably tell - i dont know a whole lot about intakes - but maybe a better option would be to just get my stock intakes ported?
suggestions? the local machine guy here is quite good by reputation - he use to race cars alot at the local drag strip.

what wud some rough ball park estimates be to have some porting done?
thanks for info.

I would get a newer one. Yes the explorer one is better then what you have, You can get better intakes for not too much more money.
