Interior paint?

What did you guys use to paint the metal dash and doors of your early Stang. I have a 65 and I'm doing a color change to black. Is it flat black or satin? I was thinking of using Dupont Hot Rod Black single stage. Any thoughts on this?

That's exactly what I need to know. From blue to black, the car was caspian blue outside and not sure what color blue but a lighter blue inside. I need to strip it first, I'm pretty sure the guy that had it before me spray bombed it so that has to go. I'll probably sand blast it with my mini blaster, not enough omph to warp anything but it takes it off nicely albeit slowly.

I wouldn't. The slightest abrasion of the "grain" on the doors will diminish or even remove it. Chemical strip is the only way to go if you want it to look good.

Really? That's unfortunate, I don't like chemical stripping at the best of times let alone on a non smooth surface. I'll have to try a test on an old door, it's just a little nozzle like you use in a blast cabinet so very little media hitting it, not like the fire hose type blasters.
