Yes to the hose clamps and then re-evaluate
Napa or Home depot back in plumbing
Napa has good stainless steel clamps that are 2 feet long and you just cut off the excess
You can back probe the TP sensor with a dvom if you have some small enough pin type leads
If you can get set up to do that, or if you have a code reader that reads pids?

I soldered up my own back probe dvom leads with 2 small nails and 2 small nuts that fit my red and black leads
Much easier with a scan tool
Looking for 4.5volts reference and .8 at idle and 4.5 at WOT
(roughly)

I have not checked the TPS, how do you go about testing it?

theres some videos on youtube that can show you how to test them with voltmeters but my personal favorite way to test it is to unplug it and see what happens

Oh alright I have access to a scan tool, and/or I’ll try unplugging it.thanks a lot guys, I’ll post an update once I get something figured out

You will leave it plugged in and the vehicle can be running or not to backprobe the TP sensor
If you unplug it you can test the reference voltage
Course you can check that with it plugged in too
With the scan tool you simply access the TP pid and read the voltage
PID stands for parameter identification data by the way
You want to see that TP sweep voltage up from the base of (.8 to 1.3) up to the 4.5 with no opens or breaks as it approaches WOT

Black probe of dvom on battery negative post
Poke red lead into the silicone rubber boot surrounding the wires near each wire
Not going into the technical stuff like which wire does what right now
Basically one is VREF and should have the 4.5 to 5.5 reference voltage
The other main one is signal return. That one will have the 1.1 or whatever it is at idle and 4.5 or whatever at wide open throttle (WOT)
The 3rd wire is the ground.
You can check that too by switching your dvom leads to the red on b+ and the black backprobing the ground wire
