I have a very irritating noise in my clutch (2004 GT)
Its a chirp/squeak as if something is dry
I am an beginner, far from a pro, I don't think its a throw bearing, as its not loud/rough enough according to a mechanic to had a quick feel/listen...
Its there when I start the engine, and especially when driving 1-3,crusin down the road and when stopped at lights etc in neutral.
If I push in on the clutch JUST a bit, it gets louder for a second
Push it in more, it softens to almost disappears
About 3/4 its gone
When its fully in, no noise at all of course

Anyway, let me know what you think!
Thanks!

Just because it isn't loud 'yet' doesn't mean it isn't the throw out bearing. Sounds like a thrown out bearing to me, and obviously, it isn't bad yet. Depending on how many miles your clutch has, it may be a good time to replace it since the tranny has to come down anyway.

My TOB has been replaced 3 times for that squeeking noise. Its never gotten worse, but I cant seem to get it to go away. I have put 60k miles on my mustang since I got it; every bit of that with a squeeking TOB.
