Is 99 GT , Better, Faster than 5.0,s????

There are no aftermarket heads/intake worth buying for the 2V 4.6 which is a major drawback. Get a 99-01 Cobra instead they have alot more potential and well worth the extra $$

stock for stock they are faster but foxes are cooler IMO. the 5.0 has more low end grunt and always seems more powerful. the modulars have this "building up" feeling and dont feel as fast to me.

After owning a 93, 02gt and an 03 mach.....I think we all know which one wins
But its all a matter of opinion as to which one you like the best. The 99+ cars do handle, brake, offer more power stock than the 5.0's but I still like my 93 the best. Thats why when given the option of selling the mach or the 5.0, I kept the 5.0. I should have taken the brembo's off the mach before I traded it in. Do you think they would of noticed if it came with 4 lug ponys

with gears, exhaust and shifter my 03 gt went 13.38 and would wax the hell out of my 88 with the same mods!

Stock for stock the 99+ will beat the 5.0 in almost all those area's. But i will say they are not easy to work on. I've helped tear a 4.6 completely out and put a stroked 4.6 with all the bolt ons on it and it was a major PITA.

And the 99+ performance hasn't impressed me at all either, my 5.0 with H/C/I would walk away from the above 4.6 and it has stage 2 heads and cams along with the stroked 4.6 it was making 300+rwhp i forget the exact numbers. But then again i'm sure that 4.6 with the same amount of boost i'm running now would probably whoop my ass, they seem to do really well with boost.

Braking is good and handling is good also i liked running the 4.6 down the track and knew it was going to stop easier then the 5.0. Durability, that probably depends who you talk to, the stock SOHC motor i think is very weak.
