Is adding a power brake booster worth it?

The brakes in my 67 are shot. I’m still sorting out what I wanna do vs what I wanna spend. I keep getting hung up on the power brake booster. It’s gonna add 3-500 to the costs and I’m trying to sort if it’s worth it. Has anyone compared the same system with and without power boost? So far the only reason people seem to list to skip it are “ what, are you a wimp? Push the pedal harder”

Billison, youll have to remind me, is this a manual? Do you do a lot of downshifting?

Sorry. Forgot to put the details. Yeah. It’s currently a 302 with a 4 speed top loader. No plans to ever go to an auto.

If it wasnt a stick id say add it, but i enjoy downshifting, others dont. Your question is probably more if its worth the hassle/money and id be thinking where else could I spend the money. Maybe add booster next time when the brakes wear down again

I removed my power brakes and would remove the manual brakes for nuttin. Our cars are not heavy enough to need power anything including steering. And I'm an old out of shape 68 yo dude.

New here. Was left a 67' Mustang 347. Ready to go down the rabbit hole but don't know where to start.
