no its a 5spd, its got an o/r h pipe and dronemasters, a/c and smog delete...the motor is rebuilt...

and when you rev it up and dump the clutch doest the motor skyrocket to 6k or does it bogg down and then build revs as you speed up?

nope, i have 4.10's too and i don't have any problems doing a burnout. sounds like you have some problems you need to address.

somethings seriously wrong man. the 92 i just did a v8 swap in has a stock 87 marquis longblock, c4 and 3.73's will get a 3rd gear scratch at 65mph, 1st thru 2nd is worthless traction i'd be checkin little things like a vacuum leak or incorrect timing.

with a 5 speed you should be peelin the tires through atleast 4 gears with the 4.10's.

Mines mostly stock. With 178k. Its slow, but it will still spin the tires real good.

3,73'a and AOD and it will spin all through 1st and chirp into 2nd if i let it.

And I never really had a problem spinning or howling when the entire car was stock w/stock AOD, either, though I never really tried. It just happened once in a while.
