Have you replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor yet? If not do so. It made a huge difference on my car. My stuff all looked original and the car had 88,000 miles on it when I got it.
You may want to try some good fuel injector cleaner like BG40 and maybe change out the O2 sensors.
