Hey guys,

Its time for me to finally fix my ebrake, I did a rear disc conversion on my car a few months ago and have been driving around without one. All I have are the two rear cables (M-2809-A). The FRPP instructions that I downloaded show the use of a front cable (M-2810-A). Does anyone know if this cable is needed or can I just reuse the front ebrake cable that is on the car now?

I was thinking of a line lock for the front end. Says in the Jegs catalog it can be used as an E-brake. What if power were to dissapear for some odd reason. Your car would roll downhill, right? A cable could break on the ebrake also. Good excuse for a line lock IMO

Been there and chased that that rabbit...

To fix the properly fix the ebrake, you have to weld the self adjusting rachet on the stock ebrake handle. See
http://www.mustangcentral.net/tech/brake.html for help with the emergency brake. The stock setup with the self adjusting rachet tends to lock up and not release properly. Once the rachet self adjuster is welded solid, you need the front ebrake cable M-2810-A to adjust the ebrake.

Yes you need to follow the FMS instructions on modifying the handle.

But yes you need the 2810 cable. The stocker is to short.
