well my car ran fine after the h/c/i etc.....now i put on a msd 6al/blaster coil/msd cap-rotor/fms 9 mm wires and regapped plugs out to .050-.052...is this too much gap has anyone else had this problem and had it fixed with a lower gap?????/

i guessi should specify that i changed the plugs yesterday and it ran fine for about 1-2 hr's...then it started having a slight miss and buck and the tach needle would bounce around a little..as soon as i put plugs in it bamm it is fine for about 1-2 hr's ....is my gap too much...what i dont understand is before the msd ignition or msd cap-rotor i ran about .048 and it seemed to run fine for 2 weeks now since the h/c/i swap

Do you have any kind of forced induction? If not I don't see how the spark could get blown out.

The stock gap is .050" - .054" on Autolite 25 plugs.

What kind of gas are you using, and what is your compression ratio?

got it figured out fellas yea i ran the fr5's but i got autolite 3924's now because i needed them in a hurry and the ngk arent ever in stock, i also tapped out the num 1 cyl so all problems fixed now, what happened was i installed my msd 6al and it ran fine then few hr's later bad replaced about 2 dizzy caps and rotor butt. so when i took the msd off it still ran the same , i put a fresh cap on without the msd on it period and it has ran fine since....so my less than a week old msd is screwed....ill return it tommorow for a new one ..
