Is it factory or dealer air??????

Silly question as I know that most of the cars would be factory air. However, when I went to get a replacement AC clutch for my 93 5.0, it looked nothing like the clutch assembly that is on there. The clutch that is on the car has the infamous .25" rubber gasket that looks like it was shredded pretty good between the clutch and the pulley. At any rate, if I buy one of these clutches that doen't look quite like the one that is on the car, what are the chances that it will work. The compressor on the car is Ford, and original, but is it dealer? Therein lies the question........

the factory air cars have 2 , maybe 3 brackets that hold the compressor on , the add on airs have about 5 or 6 different monkey brackets to mount the compressor up ..........

Most dealer air cars (including mine) have a compressor with the part number HR980 on the top. It is about half the lenght of the factory compressor and is held up by i beleive 2 brackets (one on top of the p/s braket and a long straight one on the back of it).

O yea, the factory clutch will not work for that compressor and no parts store or ford dealer that i could find sells them. I ended up buying mine off of ebay from a guy who sells nothing but a/c clutches.
