I mean when you look at somebody's 5.0 your like "damn" assuming its really nice. Now your car can be nice but you know all the little things that are wrong which add up but others dont know, so they go like "damn" when they see your car. I bet they also know their little problems and think theres isnt cool either.

There is this black 5.0, really slick with stock ponies and cobra hood. leather int, but he has/had a main oil seal leak, and his synchros are going out he said. I mean the car is very nice. You know what i mean??

I hear ya, I get that all tha time...lol then I tell them about all the **** that's wrong/causing problems... i.e. leaking antifreeze/rust/ripped sunvisors

Oh yea. Thing is that is part of owning your car. You will always know more of what is wrong with it than someone else. My car is nice, but there is so much stuff that I want to do to make it cosmetically better, for example weather stripping or some plastic moldings that alot of people don't notice but I do cause I look at the car on a regular basis.

I dont even want to beat on my car anymore cause I know every part of the motor, transmission and rear end down to the brakes with firsthand knowledge. I know every time I mash the pedal, I'm straining dozens and dozens of parts.

I'm just the opposite. The more I know about what I have the more likely I am to be hard on it. If I know I have built it right, I hammer it. Hey, that's what I built it for.

I'm the same way w/ my GT...I drive it and it sounds awesome, but I generally take it easier in it than in my LX because the GT is always breaking and I just wanna drive it for a little bit without having problems and having to worry if I'm gonna make it home. The LX is mostly stock and, for the most part - considering it's a 15-16 yr old car now - is really dependable.
