Is that flywheel or rear wheel #s? Those #s don't look right. That's a LOT of hp and RIDICULOUS amount of tq for a Vortech on only 8 lbs. I'm guessing those #s came from spray? Even a KB 2.6L don't make that much tq on twice the boost amount.

sounds like a sweet car regardless of whether or not his numbers are incorrect. i'd just be wary of a car with nitrous hooked up. he probably didn't baby it. i'd buy it if i had the cash to play with and a separate reliable car

Buying a car with that many mods done to it you're asking for trouble. Also why would somebody spend all that money for a freshly built engine (only 3126 miles) and then sell it off? Do you know who did the install of all these things or who built the engine? Also does he have proof that the engine only has 3126 miles on it and do you know for sure he never sprayed the engine? You can hurt an engine very badly even spraying it once. Too many things come to mind when you talk about buying someone else’s highly modified car, aka problems. Sorry but I look at any car with mods like that and I know how that car was treated.

I also look at my car like this too. I don’t beat on it all the time but I go WOT at least once every time I drive it. I take care of my car just like many of the people on Stangnet do. But no matter how well we clean our cars or do scheduled maintenance on our cars they still have been abused, especially us with power adders. None of us put this money into our cars and not use it. I talked to a guy with a 04 Cobra with a KB on it and he was trying to sell it at a car show. He tried telling me he had never been into the boost with the KB on it. I started laughing at him and said yea right. Our cars have been abused but that’s alright that’s why we bought them.

Sorry for the long post but I just don’t like buying or seeing people buy cars with a lot of mods on them. Of course little things like TB/ Plenum or CAI or exhaust isn’t anything much to worry about, but the more it has done to it the more problems it COULD have. You’re buying someone else’s problems when you buy a car like that.

Those numbers HAVE to be on spray because there is no way in hell a Vortech will make those kinds of TQ numbers on 8spi. The nitrous gives gobs of torque, so it had to be sprayed at least once just for the dyno numbers. Still seems like a badass deal to me if it checks out in person

the probable reason is the numbers are nitrous+boost on the old motor, which blew it to smithereens, which is why theres only 3k on the new one and it comes with a nitrous setup but no nitrous, and now he is selling for something else.

ill tell you what i believe in, dont buy someone elses problems. a modded car is a bad idea, find a un-abused stocker, it will make for a better starting point. rather start from nothing than start with fixing the other owners bull**** first. i bought a pullied cobra used with 53k on the clock and didnt have any issues, but i talked to the seller for a long time and went through all his mods and checked the work and it was up to my standards so i felt better about the sale, but he was selling the car cause he honestly had nowhere to use it to its potential, which living in the middle of san jose, is a pretty solid statement. though if i wasnt able to go through the car so much and if the seller was pretty shady or pleaded ignorance to get the sale, i wouldve passed.

The stuff in the bold is

Can youo even get 525 hp on # 30 injectors that probrobly why he blew the old motor he was to lean especially with platinum + 4 plugs on a blower thats ridiculous. Somethings not clicking right in the dyno numbers either the torque seems way to high for the HP numbers hes got.
