My engine always took a little oil and knocked at around 4000rpm, that was last year. Now, however, is a different story. It's as if the engine runs on 7 cylinders from 1000 to 2500 rpm. It smokes so much oil that if I floor it, the cars behind me end up in thick oil fog. It also drinks a lot of coolant too lol...
I checked all my spark plugs, all are fine except piston #7 which is full of oil and coolant (thick black junk and soft white/grey deposits). I also have some oil in my coolant. So I did a compression test here are the results:
1 - 140
2 - 135
3 - 133
4 - 130
5 - 135
6 - 136
7 - 120 (this is the one with oil and coolant sparkplug)
8 - 132
So it's time for a new short block, despite this handicap, I can still beat ricers at stop lights
I have most of the stuff to build a 347 so it's not a bad thing my stock original engine is about to drop dead.
