Is there any relation between the hazards and engin cut off?????

I went to my sisters house to start my 93 5.0 up becasue its sittin for the winter. After it was runing for about 5 mins i push the hazards button just to make sure everything was working and the power cut off to the whole car and the engin stoped. after a few secs it gain power back and started and ran fine. any ideas?????

What's the voltmeter read when the car is running?

Maybe if your battery was that low when you hit the 4ways it killed it. But that would be odd IMO. Are the 4ways the only thing you turned on before it died?

i might: start it again and turn on the headlights instead (of hazzards). see if it dies. if so, the electrical load is what is killing it, not the hazzards (happy coincidence). i can not think of any reason why hazards should kill the car, unless there is some massive short on that circuit.
