I want to know if anyone out there knows of a programmer manufactured for mustangs that compares to what LS1 owners have available (LS1 edit). Does anyone make a programmer that does everything for late model mustangs that LS1 edit does for F-bodies. I've heard someone does, but it has to be programmed by someone with the software and the know-how to do it right by the customer's specs. Does anyone have the downlow on this topic? I'd really like names.

in case you don't know LS1 edit

Some of you out there may not fully understand the full scope of what LS1 edit is capable of in regards to F-bodies. LS1 edit is not a mere programmer or flash module; it is a computer rewriter for any and all LS1's. It can change all program presets from the factory including air/fuel, rev limiter, speed limiter, shift points (to any degree), etc. It can increase rwhp by up to 20, can create 1 to 2 more mpg, and it is absolutely 100% undetectable by dealers' machines because it IS LS1 program, just rewritten. Oh, and it can be reritten any number of times for whatever mods you add in the future. Now, I revert to my original question; Does anyone make something this awesome for Ford?

EFI solutions has the end user version for guys like you.It plugs into the OBDII port just like the LS1 edit..You can tune every single parameter in your car.We use it daily to tune 300-700rwhp 2 valves..
You can buy the same stuff we use for your own car..

Contact EFI solutions...

A tweecer is the mustang version of LS1 edit. You can do just about anything with the Tweecer. It literally hacks the cpu using a plug in module and software for your computer. I'm getting one as soon as funds will allow. Really a great buy, only the support is kinda lacking.

The SCT tuner availble at Modulardepot is a modified version of Superchips microtuner. It will give you complete control over the 4 memory banks on your vehicle.

Speedlimiter, shiftpoints, gear ratio, ...etc. are the MINOR features you will adjust. - all available with the standard superchips microtuner. The SCT (CUSTOM TUNER) allows you to adjust absolutly everything about your cars fuel mapping. Best example I can give you is the following.

You buy an aggressive CAM for your GT. Conventional methods would have you adjust timing to get the proper mixture at peak power. But the your idle may be screwed, and your bottom end torque may not be optimum. With the SCT tuner, you can work out your mixture through out the power band as to have a semi proper idle, and an optimum power curve.

You obviously need MORE than just the software and tuner (@800US). If you want to do it yourself, you will need a datalogger and a wideband.

Now I am no expert in the subject. I actually chickened out on doing this myself - the guy @ SCT said anyone could learn this given time and a simple willingness to learn. The time is the part I lack. I got my local auto specialist to order the microtuner for me. And I got him to become a dealer of this product, so I can just bring my car to him and get it tuned perfect on his Dyno with the SCT software.

Did I mention this thing plugs in your scan port and flashes your own ECU. And did I mention it records ALL your stock figures, so if you do want to return them there it is a simple process.

From the sounds of it... this thing makes LS1edit look basic. :D
