I've been looking for a project car for a while but haven't had any luck finding one. Until I came across this 1997 Cobra. I don't know much about mustangs especially the cobras, this is actually my first time ever posting on any kinds of forums. If anyone could give there honest opinion about this mustang and if it's even worth the money, here is the ad as it is on Craigslist.
Hey man, for sale is my 5.4 dohc swapped 1997 cobra. It is still a project car but has a lot of money in new parts, does run, and will drive with a little work. Here's a more in depth parts list for the car.
Engine:
- navigator bottom end with unknown miles, no rod knock.
- 2004 terminator heads with under 12k miles on them.
- New timing chain set and oil pump
- new head gaskets
- moroso 7qt oil pan
Transmission:
- t45 110k miles, no missing gears... probably grinds a couple lol.
- I have a new centerforce stage 3 clutch for it
Suspension:
- Strange adjustable shocks and struts
- eibach sportline lowering springs
- eibach c&c plates
Etc.
- car has terminator powered front seats, black with grey alcantara
- rear diff was just rebuilt with 4.10 gears
- rear calipers just replaced.
Currently the car needs a high pressure power steering line, a tune, the exhaust lengthened to all it quieter, and the front clip put back together.
The car is going for $2000 obo on Craigslist at the moment. I will include some pictures he has provided as well. Thank you.
