Is this a 302 block?

I was converting my 289 from a 2bbl to a 4bbl and when I had the intake manifold off I noticed this 302 stamp cast into the well.

Is this just a coincidence or is this 289 actually a 302?

Thank you. Mine is a 66, so clearly not the original block. Now to find out if it’s just the block. Thoughts?

Yes. A 289 says 289 in the lifter gally ,however ,they are actually the same block
It is the stroke that makes it a 302 ,you need to check the crank and rods to see if 289 or 302

A lot of late 289 production engines used the new 302 blocks.
