Is this a Droneless Exhaust Setup?

I have the FRPP catback connected to my catted X. Definately no drone with this setup. It was only a little louder than stock when I first put it on, but progressively got a decent amount louder as time went on. I believe I got it from gefracing.com.

go loud!!!

Ha ha! Yeah, I like loud actually. But loud inside gets to me (and my passengers, argh) after a while.

I figured I'd go with a "sleeper" exhaust. I think I could go that whole route with my car actually, but I'm not sure. It's getting lowered Monday (only about an inch or so - using Ford Racing "C" springs) and I'm looking forward to that.

Probably the week after that, I'll have all the exhaust stuff installed. I might see if my ford service department right down the road from my work would do it. I don't see why not. Although, I did find out that they don't reprogram/reflash the computer to compensate for 4.10. I thought for sure they could, but I guess not. Maybe it doesn't work that way. I have a Predator anyway, but I was just curious if they did that sort of thing.

If they don't do it, I'll have the shop I normally use install the exhaust.

Thanks for the info on the FRPP setup. I think I am going that route.

Does anything about the FRPP catback need to be welded?

Nothing needs welded on the FRPP catback. :nice:

Sweet! I'm looking forward to it.

I'll probably order the magnaflow catted x and the FRPP today then and get it installed next week asap.

I want to get a camcorder and take some short clips of my car. I'll see if I can do that really soon before I change my exhaust and after. I'll post it here when I get all that done.

I have a prochamber with stock catback on mine, I like it alot, no drone, and it's loud enough for me.
Please get me a clip of that. I have wanted to hear a prochamber with a stock catback and cant find a clip of that?

Anyone have a clip of a prochamber and magnaflows?

Do you need MIL eliminators with a pro chamber?

Where the best place to get a pro chamber and what is a good price??

I'd like to hear different combos with the stock catback too. It seems like everyone always changes the catbacks, but the mid-pipes are what really gives the performance boost. It seems like the straight-through catbacks help a little more I guess. I read somewhere that a Magnaflow catback gave a Mach 1 11rwhp gain over stock, so that's not bad. But, the Mach 1 already has 305hp, so... Woopty doo. I guess that with a really good CAI would net 15hp or so.

Every little bit helps I guess. :D

Bassani BX or Magnaflow midpipe?

Well, the FRPP catback is ordered. Just gotta get the Magnaflow pipe now.

Would you guys recommend Magnaflow or Bassani's new BX version of their midpipe? (I think that's what they are calling it - BX). I can't seem to find one for an auto transmission though, so... that might not help me too much. I didn't know there was a difference in the '03 models with an auto tranny versus a manual, as far s the midpipe goes.

Anyhow, they are almost equivalent price, with the Magnaflow being a bit more expensive actually. What do you guys think?

Anyone heard anything about those lower priced bassani pipes? I think they may not be quite as good a quality as a magnaflow stainless steel one. I don't know. I think I read where the inside is stell, but the outside is some sort of combination of materials.

Not only that, but I can't even find that for an auto GT. Lots of places say it's for 5 speed. What's different?

TTT.

Does anyone has one of those Bassani BX midpipes? Also, is there one for an automatic transmission? Most seem to specify the 5-speed for some reason.

Also, how does an SLP catted X compare to a Magnaflow catted X? Any different there in quality and performance, or basically the same? The Magnaflow looks a little more quality built from photos, but it's hard to tell from that. I know people rave about both on here, so I was thinking I probably wouldn't go wrong with either. Opinions welcome please!

too many posts to read...so ill just throw this out. My stock sytem did not drone at all....added my Dr gas X and it had drone. Not as much as my magnaflow. But my drone doesnt really sound too bad, just loud and it sounds like my car is revving pretty high. My mom when driving 3-4 cars back said that she could hear my car at 65MPH LOL. Just above that at 72-75 its as quite as a church mouse...sound is almost non existent.

red 03 where in nc r u and what r u going to do with the old exaust stuff?

Selling what I don't need, which will be a Mustang Tuning Catted X, and a Magnaflow catback.

Send me a private message if you're interested. I'm not sure when the stuff will be available to sell, as I don't have the midpipe I need yet for my exhaust. I'm hoping this week though, and everything will be on.
